When Joan Goldner became a mom, she joined the ranks of mothers everywhere who
struggle to keep up with demands of work and family life. She had been using a
hand-written column format of tracking and coordinating her time-sensitive business
projects, and when she first had to leave childcare instructions for her husband
and then the babysitter, she just added another column, named for her son
Jake. And thus the award-winning - and now bestselling - BusyBodyBook Weekly
GRID format was conceived.
Joan is philosophical about why families are so busy today. "We have so many options
today," she says of the migration of more and more moms into the workplace over the
last three decades, "and now we have SO much to do and much TOO little time. But
our priority is our family and we need better
tools to find the time to spend quality
with them while we manage everything else."
The fact that busy moms are forever multi-tasking and having to re-prioritize
their time convinced Joan that her column format could help other moms gain
control of their schedules and hopefully find a bit of time for themselves and
more time to spend with their families.
Originally from New York City, Joan now resides with her family in South Orange,
New Jersey, where she brings her love of people, business and organization to
the BusyBodyBook line of products.
